Philodendron squamiferum makes a statement in any room! This easy-growing houseplant shows off dark green leaves with deep, monstera-like lobes and red petioles (leaf stems) that have a decidedly fuzzy texture. It is grown and shipped fresh from our farm direct to your front door.
- Because it grows like a vine as it matures, it’s best to give your Philodendron squamiferum a support, such as totem or moss pole, on which to climb.
- Can climb more than 6 feet tall over time.
Light Level: Indirect Sunlight
This plant needs to live in a room with at least some natural light. Place it on a table or countertop with windows nearby.
Water Level: Thirsty
This plant can only go 1-2 weeks without water so check on it weekly and add water every time the top two inches of soil dry out.
Philodendron squamiferum takes well to pruning—so if you want to keep it full and bushy, rather than as a long vine, just pinch off the tips of the new growth periodically.
